TIFF Membership is relaunching with new levels, new benefits, and new pricing. On May 1, when this change comes into effect, active membership will transition to the new levels, valid through until your expiry date. Please see the below chart for the 2022 levels and their 2023 equivalents.

* On May 1, 2023, both the primary and secondary cardholder will be upgraded into separate Memberships, valid through until their current expiry date.
^ Benefactor Memberships are off-sale as of March 31, 2023, and current Benefactor Members will be upgraded to the Patron level through until their current expiry date.
† Silver Memberships are offsale as of March 31, 2023, and current Silver Members will be upgraded to the Champion level through until their current expiry date.
†† Platinum Memberships are offsale as of March 31, 2023, and current Platinum Members will be upgraded to the Leader level through until their current expiry date.

Each level of TIFF Membership will have their own distinct pre-sale day for TIFF 2023, ahead of the public. Specific dates and times for each level will be shared closer to the Festival. That means that the higher your level, the earlier your opportunity to buy tickets to the Festival.

As part of TIFF’s annual Early-Bird Pre-Sale, if you renew your membership before April 21, you’ll get access to an even earlier window to purchase your tickets during the designated window for your level, ahead of Members who do not take advantage of the early-bird offer.

Each level of Membership will see an increase in their benefits as part of this relaunch:

TIFF Member and above ($120+)

• A dedicated pre-sale day for the Festival
• Special offers on select tickets during the Festival
• Deeper discount of 20% at Concessions
• Free regular popcorn on your birthday
• Free tickets to Cinematheque as a permanent benefit

Contributors Circle and above ($500+)

• All above benefits, and:
• A complimentary Festival Programme Book
• You will have your own pre-sale day for your level ahead of lower-level Members
• Deeper discount of 30% at Concessions

Patron and above ($2500+)

• All above benefits, and:
• Longer Festival pre-sale ticketing windows
• More events to engage the Patrons Circle community year-round, including mixers and a Festival film hand-picked by Cameron Bailey at the CEO’s Choice event
• Discover Festival’s buzzworthy titles and hidden gems directly from TIFF’s programming team at the Insiders’ Event
• Deeper discount of 40% at Concessions

Champion and above ($7000+)

• All above benefits, and:
• Invitations to the Opening Night Gala Presentation at Princess of Wales, followed by the Opening Night Party

Leader ($15,000)

• All above benefits, and:
• Year-round personal concierge service (paid Leadership only; automatically upgraded Platinum Members are not eligible)
• Opportunity to secure up to two additional tickets to the Opening Night Gala at Roy Thomson Hall Presentation
• Receive a Festival package couriered to you

On May 1, Dual Memberships will be phased out and you will be upgraded to two individual Memberships, one for each cardholder, until your current expiry date. This means you and your secondary will continue to enjoy all the same benefits and perks you have come to love and expect from TIFF, but with the added advantage of having seamless access to all of the new benefits that are coming on May 1.

To receive your free regular popcorn, please visit Concessions inside TIFF Bell Lightbox and present your digital membership card and one piece of valid government identification that includes your birthday.

Concessions open approximately 30 minutes before the first public screening and closes 15 minutes after the final showtime of the night begins.

Drop-in hours are also available to answer questions in-person. They will be held on Thursday April 6, 13, and 20 from 1pm–6pm in the Film Reference Library on the 4th floor of TIFF Bell Lightbox.

When the Bell Blue Room reopens later in 2023, it will transition to being open 6 days a week. While it will also be available to the public and have longer hours, we at TIFF remain committed to providing dedicated access time for Members only in this lounge and other spaces in TIFF Bell Lightbox.
