How is Festival ticketing changing? / What does “your Membership determines the best place in line” mean?
Each level of TIFF Membership will have their own distinct pre-sale day for TIFF 2023, ahead of the public. Specific dates and times for each level will be shared closer to the Festival. That means that the higher your level, the earlier your opportunity to buy tickets to the Festival.
As part of TIFF’s annual Early-Bird Pre-Sale, if you renew your membership before April 21, you’ll get access to an even earlier window to purchase your tickets during the designated window for your level, ahead of Members who do not take advantage of the early-bird offer.
* Offer Valid for Members 365 and Contributor Circle. Conditions may apply. Please contact membership@tiff.net for further information.
How are my benefits changing?
Each level of Membership will see an increase in their benefits as part of this relaunch:
TIFF Member and above ($120+)
Contributors Circle and above ($500+)
Patron and above ($2500+)
Champion and above ($7000+)
Leader ($15,000)
What happens to Dual Membership on May 1?
On May 1, Dual Memberships will be phased out and you will be upgraded to two individual Memberships, one for each cardholder, until your current expiry date. This means you and your secondary will continue to enjoy all the same benefits and perks you have come to love and expect from TIFF, but with the added advantage of having seamless access to all of the new benefits that are coming on May 1.
How do I get free regular popcorn on my birthday?
To receive your free regular popcorn, please visit Concessions inside TIFF Bell Lightbox and present your digital membership card and one piece of valid government identification that includes your birthday.
Concessions open approximately 30 minutes before the first public screening and closes 15 minutes after the final showtime of the night begins.
I have additional questions about TIFF’s 2023 Membership programme. Who should I talk to?
TIFF’s Loyalty Team is available to answer any questions you may have. You can reach out to them via email through membership@tiff.net or by phone at 416-934-5869.
Drop-in hours are also available to answer questions in-person. They will be held on Thursday April 6, 13, and 20 from 1pm–6pm in the Film Reference Library on the 4th floor of TIFF Bell Lightbox.
I renewed my Membership last week. Can I still get the early access to purchase my tickets?
Yes.
How will the Bell Blue Room be accessible to Members when it reopens?
When the Bell Blue Room reopens later in 2023, it will transition to being open 6 days a week. While it will also be available to the public and have longer hours, we at TIFF remain committed to providing dedicated access time for Members only in this lounge and other spaces in TIFF Bell Lightbox.
